About Our Store

Our name sake

Our online business takes it name from the Powwow River. The Powwow River was a travel and trade route used by Native Americans prior to the arrival of European settlers. Beginning in the 1700's its waters were dammed for water power mills. Since the 1960's the old mill ponds along the river were converted to resevoirs for a public water supply.

About our business

Our business started out as a rented bookcase in Antique store. The store closed and we relocated in cyberspace. We currently list about 700 titles on various online book services. Since 2002, we have also expanded into the book publishing business. We currently have two titles in print.
